With more than 18 years of experience in financial services, founder Katherine Grant helps clients navigate everything from buying their first home to refinancing property portfolios and protecting their family financially.

Meet Katherine

Hi, I’m Kat, the founder of KG Financial.

With over 18 years’ experience in financial services, I support clients with everything from buying their first home to refinancing, investing in property and managing larger landlord portfolios. No two clients are the same, which is exactly what I love about what I do.

My approach is simple. I keep things clear, honest and as stress free as possible. Mortgages and protection can feel overwhelming, so I guide my clients through every step, explain the options properly and help them make the right decisions for their situation.

I’m often described as warm, approachable and easy to talk to. I genuinely enjoy helping people achieve their goals, whether that’s getting the keys to a first home or building long term financial security.

You’ll always receive a personal service. You won’t be passed from person to person and you’ll always know exactly who you’re speaking to.

Outside of work, life is just as important to me. You’ll usually find me catching up with friends, planning my next trip away, or spending time with my husband and family. I spend lots of time out walking and running. I really enjoying being outdoors. Having things to look forward to and making the most of life along the way is really important to me, and it’s something I always bring into how I work with my clients

Meet Laurie

Laurie Gordon – Operations Manager

Laurie has worked in financial services for nearly 20 years, starting her career in 2007 straight after college.

She began at a small IFA firm as sales support before moving into a financial planning and wealth management firm as a financial planning assistant. Laurie later joined one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage and consulting firms within their employee benefits division.

During this time she worked in several roles including PA to the division director and later becoming part of the Benefits Consulting Operations Team. In this role she helped manage more than 144 CRMs and developed a strong passion for processes and making systems run smoothly and efficiently.

Laurie joined KG Financial in 2021 as Operations Manager and is responsible for the day to day running of the business. She ensures everything is organised, compliant and that clients are supported throughout their mortgage and protection journey.

Outside of work Laurie is just as busy at home as a mum to four boys, which means she is often found on the sidelines of a football pitch. She also enjoys cooking and hosting, bringing people together over good food.
